PAT Testing

At Plymouth Tools and Spares, we offer a PAT testing service for eletrical equipment in store . Please ring for current prices.

Health and safety regulations require that electrical appliances are safe to prevent harm to workers. Many types of equipment require testing at regular intervals to ensure continual safety; the interval between tests depending on both the type of appliance and the environment it is used in.

PAT testing can provide you with the vital protection you need in your work place and living environment, as well as reducing the risk of injuries and insurance claims

All Items brought in for PAT Testing will be labelled with a "PASS" or "FAIL" sticker showing the date of test.
A full printed record of all items PAT tested can be provided on request for an additional fee.

Repairs

Plymouth Tools and Spares has been in the current premises and repairing tools since 1979, we are constantly adding new products and manufacturers to our database and looking for new ways to increase the services we offer.

We are warranty repair agents for several large tool manufacturers such as, Makita, Hikoki (formerly Hitachi ) and Dewalt and repair all major makes of power tool. We stock a wide range of hand tools, power tools, diamond products, multi tool blades, jigsaw blades, saw blades and much more!

In most instances we are able to order items in if we do not have them in stock.

Accounts

Plymouth Tools and Spares offers our regular customers the option to apply for an account.

Approved Account holders benefit from our free collection and delivery service, they also have the option to pay for all repairs and sales up to 30 days after the invoice date.

Blade and Tool Sharpening

At Plymouth Tools and Spares we offer a blade sharpening service.

We can sharpen chainsaw chains and some lawn mower blades in store. All chains / blades should be removed from machines, if not there will be an additional charge for removal.

All other blades are sent away by our team to be sharpened by the Experts. With their specialised machines and extensive knowledge they can provide the best service to create the greatest result.  

Plymouth Tools and Spares have blades collected  once a week and they return the following week, we ask that all blades are in store by closing time on Fridays. Estimates of cost can be requested but please allow an additional week.

Examples of blades that can be sent away:

TCT Blades, HHS Blades, Garden Sheers, Axes, Cutters, Saws, Chisels.

Multitool Collection

We offer a free collection and delivery service within a ten mile radius, Collections outside this area can be arranged but will incur a delivery / collection charge
